The key projects within the Company’s Siguiri Portfolio are Alahiné and Mansala. The Basin is broadly covered by exploration or exploitation tenure and there is little vacant land available for new exploration participants in the region.
The style of gold mineralisation encountered is akin to that which has been mined for over 20 years at the AngloGold Ashanti Siguiri Gold Mine located some 37km to the west of the GGR licences. The low strip ratio, open cut Siguiri Gold Mine processes 12 MTPA gold ore producing +250,000 ounces gold per annum and has to date produced over 6 million ounces of gold. The operational life of the mine continues to be extended as the increased gold price has reduced the mine cut-off where today the mine head grade averages 0.8g/t gold.
